Someone from your past (among the carrots) I went to four supermarkets yesterday. You may find this unbelievable, yet the truly amazing part is coming up as soon as you read the next bunch of lines also know as paragraph.
The reason i went to all those stores is that i do my grocery shopping once a week and our local supermarket was getting a bit boring. A girl needs variety in food. This girl also needs a supermarket cart with a baby seat. Unfortunately, people steal these things and so i was forced into a pilgrimage, from store to store, get on the car, step off the car, untie Bruno, put him back onto his car seat, wake him up, try to block the sun from his eyes, wonder back into the car. I had to go back to the regular neighbourhood supermarket. One hour later.
As i was wearily looking for yellow plums, i noticed a woman speaking rather loudly into her cell phone. She seemed to be giving a monologue to an audience, yet she was merely sticking celery and carrots into plastic bags and heading for the fruit scale. Pretty much your average lady doing her groceries. Except she was also working. "It is someone from your past, darling, i see someone from your past", she said yelled. "I see it in the sea shells -she continued, oblivious to the people staring- it is clear that person is from your past". A 'fortune teller'. On her phone. At the supermarket.
She was concentrated on both her activities, and once she finished at the vegetable area, she proceeded to the wines and soda section, pushing her cart while asking her listener if he/she had had "any health issues" in the past six months. Some supermarket music was softly playing in the background.
