Colour patterns I didn't go through a punk phase while i was at school. I was never a mod. I didn't fall into the gothic crowd at all. Not a hippie, a rocker or a trash metal follower. I was the colour girl. This means i might grab a thing or two from the other gangs but i was a free? spirit who dressed in red, green and orange almost every day. If you know me, i know you believe me.
Years went by and i slowed down on the 'colour-me-happy' mood but i never really let go. At 24 i moved in with my friend Morgana, who took pride in wearing a black, grey or brown head-to-toe look (she claimed to be a vampire). After a few months i discovered myself going out in black skirt, black tights, black sweater and black boots and i blamed it on my charismatic roomie. When i looked at her, she was wearing her new red scarf and green sweater.
To this day, i believe colours say a lot about you and help you mend rotten moods, but i'm no longer Rainbow Bright. Plus, i enjoy black maternity clothes for the time being.
The picture above shows a few of my patterned scarves. Loud, colourful, me. My entry for this week's Photo Friday mission. Click here for more ambivalent submissions.
