32 wishes
And then, on Friday, Pablo turned 32. He didn't want a party, or anyone remembering, or even presents. But you know how it is with these things. I prepared a birthday breakfast early in the morning because we had a doctor's appointment before setting out for our weekend away. I placed candles all over the table, even on top of his gift.



We even used one of the white candles to help him make one big wish (or 32 little ones).



And then we indulged in coffee and almost fresh doughnuts. We were ready.



After the doctor's check (mother-to-be seems fine, so does baby), we headed to our romantic weekend at Hotel Real in Santander, where a luxury treatment at the thalasotherapy spa awaited us, thanks to Nick and Trix's wonderful wedding present.
